Transfer program enforcement and children’s time allocation

We examine levels of enforcement conditions for two transfer programs and estimate how they affect teenagers’ time allocation, in particular, devoted to school attendance, labor supply home production. develop a structural discrete choice model which young individuals their parents decide allocate time, including whether attend school. They also choose many hours work the market, much devote production leisure activity. To model, we use household panel data combines administrative records surveys covering period 2005–2012 Uruguay, during consecutive CCT were introduced with different designs. Our captures share who are school, working, both studying as well those neither study nor work; capture number market production, individuals’ GPA distribution. The policy experiments performed indicate that attendance can be increased by raising level sending cash teenagers rather than parents.
